This hat is reduced for a couple dark straws and it is a little coarsely woven.
This hat will be finished with a hand stitched in Leather Sweat Band!
Cuenca double woven semi-calado. "Cuenca" because it comes from the city of Cuenca Ecuador. It is a genuine Panama hat, but it is the Cuenca version of it. "Double woven" because it uses two times more straw then a brisa or single woven hat. It is a very closed weave pattern, but not as much as a Montecristi hat. "Semi-calado" because of the vent holes woven into the side of the crown of the hat, making this a very breathable and durable headgear for intense sun conditions!
Single woven Cuenca "Brisa" simplest grade of genuine panama hat but is not a Montecristi hat good airy weave with a light weight fabric sweat band. This Panama hat is blocked in a long oval, which is often a better fit for customers who need a little more room front to back. If you prefer, this model can also be requested in other oval shapes, including standard oval or X-long oval, depending on your fit needs.

Crown: Front 3.6"/9cm, Back 3.8"/9.5cm
This Panama hat is the classic fedora style, also known as a center dent crown because of the dent that runs down the center of the crown. It is one of the most timeless and recognizable hat shapes, offering a balanced look that works well for both dress and casual wear.
The classic fedora is blocked on a semi long oval hat block rather than a perfectly round one to fit the average person better.
Prefer a taller crown? We also offer these special-request crown height options:

Snap brim on the front causing the brim to tip downward slightly and upward in the back just a little.
Stingy Brim: The smallest brim we can make and still be called a brim. There is almost no shade protection here - this style is all about appearance. Some people simply look great in a short brim, and this is a very distinctive look because of its especially small size.
There is a small extra charge already reflected in the price because making this stingy short brim requires additional hand work. The hat bodies are normally turned in from the weavers with a standard brim size of about 2.75". To create this smaller brim, we must begin with a larger unfinished hat body that can still be unwoven. We then carefully unweave about half an inch to one inch of the brim and weave the straw back into itself to close the outer edge. This requires additional skilled work by two expert weavers before we can even begin the final blocking and shaping of the hat.
