	What do you think of the open weave Ladies Panama hats (On the left) They are unfinished edges but have the type of open air weave.

Considering that:

Cuenca hats get a lot more colorful and come in many styles whereas the Montecristi hats are much more limited in styles and shapes and are Much more expensive. (Cuenca hats usually cost less then $50 and montecristi hats more then $100)

Would you rather have a cheaper hat that may not last a long time but is cheaper and more colorful?

No - Montecristi hats are worth paying more for, Since they last Much longer Then a cuenca hat.
